Spring Carnival + Silent Auction
Join us for one of the most anticipated events of the year! The Sheridan Elementary Spring Carnival is a night full of games, inflatables, food, prizes, and community fun for the whole family. With free admission and game play for all SES students, plus a silent auction filled with amazing items, this event brings our school together while supporting experiences and opportunities for our kids.
What to Expect at the Spring Carnival
Mark your calendar, grab your crew, and come ready for a full evening of fun.
The Spring Carnival takes place May 8 from 5:30–8:00 PM at Sheridan Middle School. Admission and game play are free for all Sheridan Elementary students and children 2 and under, with $5 wristbands available for family members and guests who want to join in the games.
Come hungry, stay late, volunteer, and get ready for one of the most fun nights of the year.
This is the kind of night your kids circle on the calendar and count down to. The Spring Carnival is packed from start to finish with games, inflatables, face painting, and an interactive science show that’s equal parts learning and “wait… do that again!!” energy. You’ll hear laughter coming from every direction, kids running from one activity to the next, and that steady hum of a community all in one place just enjoying the moment.
While the kids are busy playing, you can wander through the silent auction (make sure to pre-register!) grab dinner from the food trucks, and settle in for a full night out without having to plan a thing. It’s fun, it’s a little chaotic in the best way, and it’s one of those events where the memories just kind of make themselves.
Help Make the Magic Happen- Volunteers Needed!
Here’s the behind-the-scenes truth… this whole night runs on volunteers. Every game, every activity, every smiling kid with a prize in hand happens because someone stepped in to help.
The more volunteers we have, the more we can offer. More games open, more fun for the kids, and a smoother, more enjoyable night for everyone. When we’re short on help, we have to scale things back, and that’s the part we’re trying to avoid.
The good news? You don’t have to give up your whole night to make a difference. Even a short shift helps keep everything running and still leaves plenty of time to enjoy the carnival with your family.
Set-up volunteers will be fueled with pizza, and all volunteers receive free game play wristbands as a thank you. You don’t have to be part of PTO to jump in, just willing to be part of what makes this night so special.
All volunteers must complete a Safe Visitor background check through the school before the event.

We are REALLY excited about this year’s Silent Auction! Because PTO provides free admittance to SES students, funds from the silent auction go a huge way in offsetting costs of the Carnival, which in turn allows us to support your classrooms better each year. Pre-Register and Bid for Items Here

We cannot emphasize enough the need for parent, staff, or high school volunteers. We will not be able to support the games if we cannot staff them with volunteers to oversee them, as well as set up and tear down assistance. Any help communicating, signing up, or even sharing on social media would be SO appreciated. Day of volunteers to run games are highly necessary! If we do not have enough volunteers to run booths, we cannot have the carnival! We’ve divided time slots into smaller time sections, so you will still have plenty of time with your children.
We are also looking for Organization Volunteers! We need coordinators to help coordinate booth preparation and set up, recruit food trucks, run concessions, and more! If you are interested, please reach out!!

Each year, PTO asks for students to bring in 2 liters for the loop a liter (grades K, 2, and 4), and peanut free snack cakes (grades 1, 3, and 5) for the cookie + cake walk.

We also ask each grade to put together a themed donation basket. Your help in hyping the children up and sending reminders to the parents for these items are a HUGE asset. Each grade is asked to participate in donating to a themed silent auction basket as follows:
K: Arts + Crafts 1: Family Movie Night 2. Chocolate Lovers
3. Coffee Basket 4: Candy Crazy 5. Family Game Night

Get ready for one of the most colorful parts of the night! Professor Steve’s “Science of Color Show” brings interactive experiments, lasers, and hands-on fun to the Spring Carnival.
Learn how we see color, explore sunlight, and enjoy plenty of “how did he do that?!” moments along the way. Perfect for all ages—don’t miss it!

Face painting will be available during the carnival and is free with a game play wristband!
We have talented artists bringing the fun to life for our kids, and while face painting is included, tips are always appreciated.
